Starting a blog is a funny thing, and the reason Brian and I started Brooklyn Supper isn’t something I’d given much thought to over the past 3+ years. Caught up in the day-to-day of maintaining it, and carried along in the sea of great opportunities the blog has presented, I didn’t have a lot of time to reflect. But, when the awesome Sarah Bryden-Brown asked me to participate in her “My Life As a Blog” series, it was the perfect opportunity to look back. What I’ve learned is that blogging was a means of stumbling into my passion for food, seasons, and community, and a surprising means of doing what I love every day. To read my essay on Brooklyn Supper’s beginnings, head over to Blog Star.
Over on Babble.com’s Family Kitchen, we’ve created our very own cocktail. It’s called to Brooklyn Fizz, and it’s a bubbly, lemony, gingery punch. Perfect for toasting past accomplishments and a bright future. Get our recipe over on Babble Food.
And one more thing – we’ve had a great run on Brooklyn Supper, and owe it all to our loyal readers. Without you we’d just be talking amongst ourselves – so thank you for reading, cooking, and being a part of our world.
